I have even found some of those records down in New Jersey. I am not clear as to what criteria was used to determine what records went where. All in all I think it might have been pretty arbitrary. I would have expected that when Montgomery County was created they would have started over from scratch but that is not the case. It seems like a case of 52 card pickup what ever records the county picked up they kept despite the fact that they could be spread over both counties but may not be limited to just those two counties. I am pretty ignorant of the geology of the area but I think that the area I am looking at is pretty close to the border. Thanks for the information. Bob
