I recently acquire information regarding my grandmother's grandparents. My grandmother was Minerva Jane Houser Stetler. I knew her father was Henry H. Houser, b 4 Feb. 1837 in Spring Twp., Union Co., PA. He died 16 July 1901. His wife, her mother, was Catherine Specht Houser. They were married in Adamsburg, Snyder Co., PA, on 25 October 1855. I had been searching for Henry's parents for some time. They were Jacob Houser, b 8 May 1813, d 16 March 1889. His wife, Sarah Goss Houser, b 24 Oct 1816, d 16 Nov 1884. Sarah's father was George Goss; her mother was Mary Peters. Does anyone have information pertaining to the parents of Jacob Houser and where they came from?
