Good Evening Folks: Can anyone identify the PAULUS ANTONI age 22 on this ship? It is suspected he is from Alsace and perhaps associated with the Bernhart KLEIN/CLINE family before their emigration. The Cline's origins are identified as being from Hirschland Lutheran KB and the families were associated in PA before moving on to NC. Annette Burgert has identified several members of the Klien/Cline family in Alsace to PA some of which we have identified West of the Catawba River in NC as early as 1751 PAULUS ANTHONI m. Veronica/Sophonica SECHLER, dau of Johannes of Northampton and Montgomery Co., PA. Some children's births are found at Falkner's Swamp Lutheran Church and Goshenhoppen all in Berks Co. Several other children's birth's unaccounted for. PHILIP ANTHONI of Northhampton Co, PA married Anna Barbara Sechler, dau of Johannes and these two families appear West of the Catawba River in NC in 1760s. They appear to be brothers and having married sisters. Philip is not found on a ships list. Perhaps under 16. There was another unidentified brother who had at least one son, Philip, whom Paulus reared, who was a RW Pensioner and says he was reared by his uncle. There was a Johannes Anthoni, age 32, on the next ship (St. Andrew) into port who is suspected to be the missing brother. Can anyone identify these families? A Paulus Anthony was on ship Brigantine 1736 which was identified by Annette Burgert in the Langensoultzbach Lutheran KB as son of Adam and having married Maria Ursula Sadler and lived in NJ. There is no known connection between these two Paulus Anthonys. Researchers have failed to identify the Anthony origins among the several families from Alsace who were on the ship Lydia. Watch for a later post on other families... Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, Lorena
