Hi, I happen to live in Chester Co., PA; only about 15 mins. from the historical society. Unfortunately, they do not have any type of early birth records. What one might be able to locate is a baptismal record which would include the DOB. Below is a summary of the information available there taken from their brochure. Newspaper Clippings File: Contains articles clipped from CC newspapers c1810-1960. Divided into 3 sections: Family Surname (inc. obits, weddings, etc...); Chester Co (alpha. by subject); Township (alpha. by twp. and then heading--incl. clippings re: businesses, real estate, history, schools, etc..). Chester Co. Histories: History of CC, PA; A History of CC, PA; Bio. & Portraits Cyc. of CC, PA; Chester Co. & It's People. Published Genealogies: Inc. 3-ring notebooks of gen. research as well as soft-cover genealogical publications. Family Envelopes: Collection of family info., filed alphabetically. Card Catalog: Manuscript materials, letters, diaries, & other family papers, incl. a collection of Family Files (various material, incl. bible records & genealogical material compiled by others). Will Abstracts: 1714-1844; handwritten abstracts of wills/admin. Original wills are located at Chester Co. Archives. Census: 1790-1920 Chester Co., PA on microfilm. Church/Cemetery records: various church/cemetery records located in both open stack and closed stack area. I also have a pamphlet of what materials are located at the Chester Co. Archives if anyone is interested. It is basically where all the "historic government records of Chester Co." are kept. IE. wills, OC, Deed Books, Birth/Death (1852-55 & 1893-1906) Marriages 1852-55; 1885-1930.... Cathy
