Hello, I am looking for information on several of my ancestors who I've been told were Pennsylvania Dutch. I hope that someone can help me. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have William FREED b Nov 14, 1844 in Pottsville, PA, d Apr 12, 1923 in Kansas City, MO. He married Catherine Elizabeth GESSLEY on Aug 26, 1866 in Pottsville, PA. Catherine was b Dec 7, 1846 in Orwigsburg, PA, and d Aug 5, 1900 in Kansas City, MO. They had the following children: Riah Jane, Anna Lusia, Ida Acoria, Emma Darling, Mary Cristenia, Dora Alice, Francis Hilery, Lucy Elen, Henry Daniel, Essie Bell, Stella Bay, and James Andrew. William's father was Daniel FREED b 1811 in PA, date and place of death unknown. I don't know his wife's name or have any dates for her. Their children were Cristan, Henry, Maria, William, Emma and Arthur. Catherine's father was Daniel GESSLEY b Aug 1822 in PA, d 1910 in Jackson Co., MO. He married Mariah YEAGER b 1823 in PA, d 1892 in Boonesboro, MO. They had the following children: Sarah, Catherine, John, Mary M., Emma, Daniel Irving, George W., and Charles H. Daniel's father was John GESSLEY b 1789 in Wittenburg, Germany, date and place of death unknown. He married Elizabeth (maiden name unknown). She was b 1795 in PA, date and place of death unknown.
