Taking a longshot here... Does anybody know of a pamphlet or book on either the "History of Landisburg" (currently in Perry County) or "History of Wertzville" (near Harrisburg)? (Sometimes during bicentennials, such books were written. My cousins & I have been trying to track down a "previous" generation of WERTZ, likely DANIEL WERTZ, who is reported to have been born in Germany and came to America circa 1755-1775, settling in Landisburg. We have his children (about 8), most born in "Germany" from 1745 to 1763, but we haven't been able to find their parents....
