I have found an old cemetery with only 5 readable stones dating back to mid 1800's. There are many other stones some are just plain field stones that have been shaped by hand. Most are just field stones just the way you would pick them up and set them in the ground. The cemetery is located in an isolated area close to the border of Marion and Monongalia counties. My question; where would I go to find some information on who is buried there. I have talked to area people also several Genealogy/Historical societies they had no information. Any other suggestions. That time period would it have to be registered somewhere. It must predate the mid 1800's by quite a few years. any help appreciated bob e
