Think I can help - whenever you receive this junk - spam - or whatever which comes unsolicited through the e-mails and you don't want to be bothered anymore: go into your mail program - in IE, it's under TOOLS - in Netscape, ditto - there is an internet option which allows you to send mail whereever you wish it to go when it's downloaded from the server; for ex. I have each of my query lists going to a separate file in my mail folder. All the junk - and spam - I receive once then copy this return address into this option's 'from' slot - you can choose to not download from server, you can choose to delete from server or other options - I like the one where the message is forwarded back to them; in this way, I hope to mess up their systems so they won't be able to bother anyone with this junk again; my way of feeling as if I'm getting some revenge. >Is anyone else getting junk mail from someone at AOL? I belong to a >number of lists and just recently began getting junk mail on a daily >basis, almost, and it's always an AOL name. And, if there are any AOL >members out there that know how I can contact AOL about this I'd >appreciate it. I know they have some pretty strict rules about spamming >and advertising (I think). I have no idea how this person got my name, >I'm assuming it was from a mailing list but I have no idea which one. > hope this helps - if I've not made myself clear, let me know and I'll be happy to try to help further - anne-ology [email protected] http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/8379/index.html
