Part 3 from an Historical Map of the Northern Portion of Fauquier County and a small portion of the southern end of Loudoun County. Drawn by Meade Palmer from information Supplied by Curtis Chappelear, Esq. A.D. 1953. Starting at the Southern boundry of Geo. Washington Grant of 2,712 Acres in 1768 as mentioned in part 1. The Landon Carter Grant of 9600 acres 1731 this is located at the upper reaches of Plum Run. Also in this area is Robt Singleton and the town of Rockliff, slightly south is the town of Bollingbrook. Going north is listed Upperville and Josiah Suttle, Stephen Mcpherson, then Jos Gibson-1767 at the border of Loudoun. Jos Allen-1764 at the border across in Loudoun - Charles Greens-Patent 1742 this is just south of Pantherskin Run across the Run is the town of Kirby. Turning East and following along the border between the two counties I will list Loudoun: Town of GreenGarden, John Gibson between Pantherskin and Jeffries Br.continuing on the north side of Pantherskin as it runs East is Jos Lewis, Town of Clifton, Edward Long north from here is Willisville, on East is Thomas Lewis, William Robertson-1753, Charles Lewis, James Lewis, Nathaniel Brown~1742, Enoch Triplett, Francis Triplett~1742, Richard Collier-1765 at this point Pantherskin Run has joined with Goose Creek which is coming up from the south. South of Pantherskin Run on the Loudoun side at the border starting with the above Charles Green's Patent~1742 the next names are Alice Gibson, Moses Gibson, Edward Garrett~1742, Isaac Wood, James Bowles, Daniel Allen, The Maples(town?), Geo Allen, Isaac Gibson, John Violet, Jonathan White, Rose Hill(town?appears to be in Fauquier). In Fauquier County across from Charles Green's Patent ~1742 is John Allen, across from Alice and Moses Gibson is Jas. Gibson. Everthing from here will be Fauquier County: Starting East of Sky Farm at the corner of Geo Washington Grant of 1768, along Gap Run but appears to be in Washington Grant is Israel Morris ~1769, coming South between Crooked Run and Gap Run, Joe Carr, Montmorency, John Kerfoot, Ridgeville, Alex Bruce, Farmsville, Heartland, Jas Morgan, Elijah Glascock, Chattins Run joins Goose Creek here and Eshtone, Benjamin Rector, Col. Thomas Marshall~1773 are in this piece of land. Thos Chattin and Dan'l Flowers are on the north side of Chattins Run just south of Rectortown. Working Nort h on the East side of Goose creek from Rectortown, John Rector~1767, Thomas Glascock, Glenmore, Geo Glascock, Jas. Jeffries, Dan'l Harris, Vincent Moss, Rockbourne(first letter not clear), Thomas Cummings, at this point Goose Creek joins with another creek that is not named coming up from south. Going back to the North side of Goose creek East of Glenmore and north of Rectortown. John Glascock~1765, Thorton Urton, Benjamin Glascock, Daniel Michael, Ephrin Furr, James Endree, Hugh Whiteford slightly west from here is Grayson, Joshua Fletcher, Saint Brides, Sunridge, Rokeby, Geo Mckenny, John Wren, Oak Spring, Wm. Debrell, Elizabeth Bowen, John Talbert, Sam'l Turner, Chas. Adams, Joseph Johnson, Wm. Turner, Edgewood, Oakley, Gregory Glascock, Westview, Samuel Dennis, Thomas Urton, Abraham Adams, Daniel Adams, James Fishback this is in an area between Plum Run and Goose Creek close to where they join. Crossing Plum Run and going west is John Wingrove near Loudoun border, Grafton Hall, John Carter's reserved lot No. 6, John Endree further west Nordley, The Hill. To the best I could I typed the names as they appeared. There appears to be sections marked out that could be districts or whatever. Some of the names I tried to look up on my VA Road map such as Rokeby and they do not appear. Maybe the name has changed or if they are towns they no longer exist. hope this helps someone good luck bob e
