My apologies to all: I seem to have given the impression that I have a listing of names that settled in the MONOCACY area. I do not. The information I posted was from a book, and all this person said was that 100 families, no names, settled there and later appx 1000 more came. I understand from some of the mail I received that some moved on to the Winchester area and some on down to the Carolina's. To make amends I do have a book about Swiss settlers who came here in the 18th century. Also I had belonged to an Org. called "Palatines to America". In some of their mailings they list some of the early German Settlers. I can look up some lookups. As usual there was nothing for me nor any idea what nationally we are. bob e
