Eleanor Van Dyke from Holland, traveled up the Susquehanna River to settle near what is now Lewisburg, PA. (Family lore, no dates) -----<gap>----- Dr. Harry Wilson Knauff, medical doctor and dentist, m. 2 Sept 1911 to Mary Wallace, 20 May 1890 - Sept 1974. Lived in Pittsburgh. practiced as Dr. Wilson from just prior to W.W.I to avoid the German name. Died in the influenza epidemic abt. 1919. - Myra Irene Knauff, 5 June, 1914 - 15 March, 1988 (my mother) - Virginia Knauff, 1 April, 1917 - 4 August, 1993 - Harry Wilson Knauff, private Myra, Virginia, and Harry were placed in an orphanage, and adopted by a Shaffer family who owned a farm near Zelionople, PA.
