I'll try this name because we're trying to find more relatives to come the first Sun. in Aug. and keep our family reunion going. Small story here. I started research in the mid 1970's. My parents had not done research but both had collected information from older relatives that has been suprisingly mostly accurate. Catherine Wade, b. 1803 is my ancestor. The story on the Wade's was that there were 6 daughters and the Shaub family who had a clothing/shoe store in Lancaster were cousins. My husband's aunt had a bad fall and was in a rehab north of Lancaster, so once a month we went to Lancaster, went through cemeteries and libraries and then visited his aunt. We had a lot of fun. At the LMHS, I almost forgot to check the correspondence file and my husband reminded me just before we were ready to leave. In the file was a letter from someone who had heard the same story, 6 daughters and the Shaub store cousins. Wow! It develops that John Wade only mentioned his 2 sons in his will and we added 2 of the daughters only from the family stories with no records.
