TO: Shirley Murray FROM: William E. Fox, Jr. "Bill" -- Silver Spring MD DATE: May 16, 2001 Dear Shirley, Unfortunately, all of our genealogy records are boxed for storage as we are moving to Australia for a few years. My FUCHS ancestors (name later changed to FOX) settled in central Pennsylvania (around Harrisburg and Linglestown) in the late 1700's. There are John's in my line and one Abraham as I remember. Do you think that your people could have come from this area originally before migrating to Kentucky. Interestingly, one of our daughters and her family recently moved to Louisville. Another connection to Louisville is that I attended the U. of Louisville in the middle 1950's. I will await your reply before trying to dig out any more info. Isn't this an exciting family activity. It really helps you to connect with our ancestors. Best regards, Bill Fox Cricket1300@aol.com wrote: > > Abraham Fox rec'd 200 acres in Kentucky for his service with the Cumberland > Rangers of PA.
