    3. I am another Newbie to this list. I thought I'd start with a question, as well as listing my lines: My lines are as follows Helfer CRAMER b 1753 in York, PA m Henrietta Sophia NEUDIG b 1761 Montgomery, PA. Their son, John (Johannes) CRAMER married Catharina SCHLOTT in York County in 1816. She was the daughter of Adam SCHLOTT b 1761 in Hesse Cassel and Anna Maria Catharina HOLDER b 1767 in York, PA. John and Catharina CRAMER moved to Seneca County, Ohio, where in 1861 their daughter Sarah Ann CRAMER married Augustus ELLIOTT (born in Virginia). Sarah and Augustus moved to Ionia County, Michigan. The CRAMER line has been well researched, and I have much information. All I have on the other lines are names and dates of the internet, none of which I've proven. I'd be glad to share the CRAMER information I have, and would love to hear more about the NEUDIG's, SCHLOTT's, and HOLDER's. My question: Is HOLDER the Anglicization of a German name? If so, what might that German name be? I understand the meaning of the English surname HOLDER is "landowner/holder" Thanks, Melinda McLemore Strong in Texas
