Hi Connie, I don't have Clara Knauff, but there are a lot of missing links in my Knauff line. Here's what I have so far: First immigrant was Henry A. Knauff from Germany, m. Eleanor Van Dyke from Holland, traveled up the Susquehanna River to settle near what is now Lewisburg, PA. (Family lore, no dates) -----<gap>----- Dr. Harry Wilson Knauff, medical doctor and dentist, m. 2 Sept 1911 to Mary Wallace, 20 May 1890 - Sept 1974. Lived in Pittsburgh. practiced as Dr. Wilson from just prior to W.W.I to avoid the German name. Died in the influenza epidemic abt. 1919. - Myra Irene Knauff, 5 June, 1914 - 15 March, 1988 (my mother) - Virginia Knauff, 1 April, 1917 - 4 August, 1993 - Harry Wilson Knauff, private Myra, Virginia, and Harry were placed in an orphanage, and adopted by a Shaffer family who owned a farm near Zelionople, PA. Any connections???
