There were several names that I'm interested in that were mentioned in posts. The first I'll try is Shenk. there is probably a connection somewhere. I think I got some of it from the Coffman, Kaufman Genealogy that the Lancaster Mennonite Historical Library was/is? selling. I started looking at the Conestoga Twp. tax lists at the LDS Library this evening. There were Shenks and Myers when the lists started in 1751 - not sure if they're mine though. 1. MICHAEL2 SHENK (JOHN1) was born Aft. 1720, and died 1802 in Lancaster Twp., Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. He married BARBARA KAUFFMAN, daughter of ANDREW KAUFFMAN and ELIZABETH KNEISSLE. He married MARY BOSSLER, daughter of JOHN BOSSLER. Children of ANDREW SHENK and MARY BOSSLER are: i. BARBARA4 SHENK. ii. JOHN (REV.) SHENK, b. 1789; d. 1857, had 11 children. iii. MICHAEL SHENK, b. 1792; d. 1869. 4. iv. MARY B. SHENK, b. October 12, 1799; d. March 21, 1879, Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. Generation No. 4 4. MARY B.4 SHENK (ANDREW3, MICHAEL2, JOHN1) was born October 12, 1799, and died March 21, 1879 in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. She married SOCRATES MYERS 1815 in Conestoga Twp., Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania, son of MICHAEL MYERS and MARY. He was born June 09, 1791 in Conestoga Twp., Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, and died June 08, 1836 in Lancaster Twp., Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. (I need the rest of their children. You would think I'd be able to find a name like Socrates as a parent!) Child of MARY SHENK and SOCRATES MYERS is: i. MARTHA5 MYERS, b. June 16, 1818; d. November 15, 1884; m. JOHN PARMER; b. January 17, 1817; d. December 11, 1899. Both buried Mellinger's Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania
