    3. This morning in our United Methodist Church we celebrated All Saints Day. The following was used in the liturgy and it brought tears to my eyes. I thought you all might enjoy it. We remember with thanksgiving and praise, all of your faithful servants who throughout the long centuries have witnessed to your name; the mighty and the lowly, great leaders and humble men and women. As we join our faith and labor to theirs, may we know that we are a part of that great cloud of witnesses. Hope no one will flame me for posting this. 3. Has anyone come across any Poley/Poli/Pohlae/Pohle etc or the same starting with a B? A Johann Adam Poley came into Philadelphia in 1750. I don't know where he went from there. My ancestor Johan Philip Poley was born in Alsenz, the Pfaltz, Bavaria in 1812. His mother, Anna Barbara Reinhardt, died in 1814 after his brother Carl was born. His father remarried and Philip does not appear in the Alsenz records again and may have been sent to live with some of his mother's relatives. In 1839 he bought land in Sullivan County, NY but had been living on that land since 1837. I haven't been able to find him on any immigration lists. Since there were Poleys in PA from at least 1750 on, he may have been living with one of those families. Does anybody know anything about them? Where did Philip spend those 23 years? Dorrie in Mass
