Hi everyone I have just joined this forum, My name is Tony Dennard When I was at school I had someone in my class called Paul Penfold, he came into school one day and said his parents had been at a funeral the day before and met my grandfather there. It turned out that we were related in some way. That was about 25 years ago and I had forgotten all about it. I have now traced my family back and have found a Great aunt called Elizabeth Dennard who married a Frederick William John Penfold on 14 October 1939 at the Registry office Bromley Kent UK. He was 26 according to the marriage cert. The cert also says that his father was John Penfold (deceased) Any help in following this line would be very much appreacted. Hi Tony - My mother's single name was Penfold & she had a brother William John Penfold b.6/10/1916 - Woolwich. My grandfather was George Harold Penfold who was in the army & stationed at Woolwich. His parents were Arthur George Penfold & Mary nee Johnstone. I can't get back any further!
