He died at Hurstpierpoint 31st May, 1745 He had 3 children:- Elizabeth Penfold born in Hurstpierpoint in 1731 died 14th August 1731 William Penfold born Hurstpierpoint in 1734, died 23rd March 1803 at Hurstpierpoint married (1) Saah NYE 7th Sptember 1758 (2) Sussannah JENNER 7th March 1796 They had 5 children Thomas Penfold born in 1735 William Penfold and Elizabeth Jenner's children were:- Nanny Penfold baptised 15th July 1759 married Richard HOLDER 7th Nov 1781 at Hurstpierpoint William Penfold baptised 1st Nov 1761 died in Patcham 6th July 1805 married Elizabeth Brayne 13th Oct 1824 Sarah Penfold baptised 22nd Jan1764 at Hurstpierpoint Thomas Penfold baptised 8th Aug 1767 at Hurstpierpoint James Penfold baptised 6th Jan 1769 at Hurstpierpoint I am descended from William and Elizabeth's son John married to Ann?, Arlene is descended from his son James married to Francis Ford. Hi Jackie, Do you have any further info on your Thomas Penfold born 1735? I have a Thomas Penfold who appears out of nowhere in 1775 to marry in Rodmell (a few miles the other side of Lewes from Husrtpierpoint). He died in 1798. If they are the same perosn he would have been 40 at marriage (not unheard of, esp for a widower) and 63 or so at death....
