Hi, I am Alison Byrne from a small village near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire (originally from Sussex though!) I am a descendent of Thomas Penfold and Ann Dudley, his second wife (married 28/9/1761 in Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex), and then through their son John Penfold and Ann Ridley Jarrat (m.1786 Balcombe, East Sussex), grandson, Stephen Penfold and Elizabeth Heasman (m. 1821 Slaugham, East Sussex) , g. grandson Berrick Penfold and Amelia Burt (m.1862 Horley West Sussex) , and g.g. granddaughter Mary Ann Penfold and Enoch Best (my g.g.grandparents) (m. 1884 Nutley, East Sussex). Some of Berricks brothers emigrated to Canada and I have contact with a cousin in Toronto. I am also aware of cousins in Australia who descend from Thomas Penfold and his first wife Ann White who married in 1748. Happy New Year to you all Alison
