Louisa, My name is Ron Penfold and a member of the Penfold Rootsweb. I saw your offer to research some of the Parish Registers and decided to take you up on the offer. The person I need information on is my GGGrandfather Thomas George Penfold. He was born on 22 December 1817. The only other information I have about him is that the location was Sussex. I live in North Dakota, USA, and do not know much about Sussex or how many Parishes are involved. I think there are many and I understand your reluctance if there is too much work involved. I downloaded several Transcriptions that Trevor and Eileen Penfold, and Kate Burns had and they are Alford, Sullington, Itchingfield and Broadwater. I have lots of information on him after he came to the USA but not before. He was suppose to have been a Cabin boy at age 12 (1829), married my GGGrandmother (Elizabeth Parry) in 1844, sailed the Great Lakes until 1850 and then became a farmer. We think the ship he sailed on was the Brig Economy. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
