Hi Telford I have found the following that might help Record of marriage on IGI for Jesse Penfold and Jane Tribe 2 Dec 1817 - it is an individual entry not a parish entry, however, so would need checking Jesse is probably the Jesse son of Jesse and Frances (ne Oxall) bap. Lurgashall 1781. Jesse and Frances married in 1778 at Lurgashall - children Frances 1779, Jesse 1781, Ann 1783 there is then a gap (children prob. bap. elsewhere before Elisha 1790, Sarah 1793, Susannah 1795, thomas 1799. As Jesse and Elisha/Elijah are quite rare names, it is likely that Jesse snr is the son of William and Lucy (nee Child) bap. 1758 Kirdford. This also links to Kate's Penfolds Elijah & co. in Banstead and also very probably to the descendants of James & Jemima of Newdigate and Crawley. William and Lucy's sons James and Elijah moved to Newdigate and Horley and had descendants there.
