As he did so ,different sons decided to settle in different towns. I traced my G Grandfather William in the 1881 Census to a caravan in Bere Regis.He was a Hawker/Traveller and my Grandfather Henry(also a Hawker) was with him in the caravan with other sons and daughters.William married Priscilla Thompson in Portsmouth in Portsmouth in 1854 and their fathers were John Penfold and Amos Thompson.
