However, it states that she was "of this Parish" but the rather unusual name might suggest a connection to her from Storrington. Hello Stan, You may remember that I emailed you some time back. The Barton PENFOLD line is my direct line also. I have a couple of Cert copies of death certificates that don't quite add up with the information that you mention below. Would be very interested in your thoughts as well DORINDA (m. Barton) d. 19Dec1884 at 92 years.... This age (92) could be a guess on her part because it would have made her 49yo in the 1841 census.... Also the 1851 census says her age is 50.... but in fact would be 59 according to her death certificate.. BARTON (m. Dorinda) d. 19Feb1871 at 68 years..... I have his b. as 1802 which would be right according to his death cert.... but not according to the 1841 census.... which indicates b. around 1806... more inclined to think it is 1802 unless someone has his birth cert. 1851 census is prob correct (ish) I have no record of Jane aged 15.... do you? I don't suppose this could be James GREENFIELD b. abt 1817... illegitimate son of Dorinda. The christening date of James is 25Dec1817 in St Mary's church, Storrington. The other names you mention... Peter, Sarah and Oliver..... can you please give me any other details on them.... In the 1871 census...... the K... would be Kate b. 1867. Alice mentioned there as 2yo is my Grandmother. Can you please tell me where you fit into all of this?
