NB Henry Phelps Penfold visited relatives in America @1920. 1. William PENFOLD , Master Mariner, married Eleanor SHEPARD on 28 Jun 1811 in ST CLEMENT DANE, WESTMINSTER. They had the following children: i. Mary Adelaid PENFOLD was born on 11 Dec 1818 in ST OLAVE, BERMONDSEY. ii. Elizabeth PENFOLD was born on 4 Apr 1824 in GEORGE STREET, ST PANCRAS. + iii. Edward Emerson Dowson PENFOLD. He was married to Mary Ann Emily ECKLOFF (daughter of Daniel ECKLOFF and Elizabeth MACKRELL) on 15 Jul 1849 in Old St Pancras Parish Church. Edward Emerson Dowson PENFOLD and Mary Ann Emily ECKLOFF had the following children: i. Helen Elizabeth PENFOLD was born on 3 Nov 1850 in Grove Cottage, Yeomans Row, Brompton, Middlesex. Charles William PENFOLD was born on 11 Sep 1862 in 5 Jermyn St, St James', Westminster. He was a Smith's Apprentice in 1881 of 18 Chatham St. Battersea in 1881. He was married to Fanny SHADBOLT (daughter of George SHADBOLT and Elizabeth EPHGRAVE) on 12 Feb 1888 in St Lawrence's Church, Morden, Surrey.
