We are related to Oliver Penfold born 1823 in Worthing, who married Lydia Brown in 1858 in the Parish of St Marylebone. Fathers were Henry Penfold, hatter and William Brown, licensed victualler. Residence at the time of marriage was Brighton and St Marylebone respectively. Their children were Henry Penfold born 1861 and William A. Penfold. In 1881 they were living at 6 Washington St, Brighton. They had a large shoe shop in Brighton called Penfolds and Henry was a member of the Brighton Volunteer Band (of which I have no information at the moment. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks and A Happy New Year to all.
