Hi, everyone, My name is Jack Cholette and I live in Rochester, New York, which is about 300 miles northwest of New York City.         My Penfold connection is through my great-grandmother Jane Penfold who married John Palmer in 1880 in Brockham, Surrey.        With the help of Kate Penfold Burns, we have pieced together these relations for this part of the family, most of whom lived in Walton-on-the-Hill, Surrey:        Jane Penfold was the daughter of William Penfold and Mary Letts. (William's parents were Elijah Penfold and Sophia Knight.) William had previously been married to Mary's sister, Ann Letts, before she died in 1856. Interestingly, that couple's granddaughter, Alice Venn (child of Elizabeth Ann Penfold and Edwin Venn) married John Palmer after his first wife, Jane Penfold, died in 1912.        I would be most interested in exchanging information with anyone who can add to this branch of the family.
