Hello Terry, Well I finally managed to get to the Library for a few hours I looked for the death in Scone Advocate BUT the February 1897 was missing I thought it may have been in the Newcastle Morning Herald but it wasn't So I looked at the CORONERS INQUEST 1895-1901 LH Microfilm FH 929.3/ARC/ROLL 2225 INQUEST 12 March 1897 Coroner- Edward Solomons JP Held at Scone DATE-26th & 27th February John PENFOLD aged 58 Born-Epsom,England Locality of Death-Scone Hospital,Scone VERDICT- Exhaustion caused by a wound in the throat self inflicted Property or Cash-Nil Terry, the death occurred on a Thursday and Scone is about 2 hrs drive from here Regards Louise Hi Louise Many thanks for that info.
