Louisa Thanks for the interest and the help. I have Susan Augusta Chantler Penfold marrying George Streeter 27 March 1858 in Horsham. George's father James Streeter married Mary Ann Seagrave 19 June 1827 in Horsham. I have not been able to find James Streeter's father. Susan Penfold's mother was Emily Penfold. I do not believe that Emily was married. Emily's parents were William Penfold b 1778 and Sarah Muggeridge (Mugridge) They were married 08 May 1798 in Horsham. Sarah Muggaridge's parents were John Muggaridge and Jane Penfold m 17 November 1761 in Horsham My mother is a Streeter. I was Christened in Roffey ( adjacent to Horsham) as we were sent there during the war to live for a spell with my Mead gr grand parents for safety reasons. Again Many thanks. Hi Terry Regarding your Henry, I have found the following on the 1851 Census for Horsham. He may be yours:- North Street, Horsham James 25 smith(1 man) b. Horsham Jane 24 b. Horsham Henry 1 b. Horsham I believe James to be the same found on the 1841 Census:- Carfax James 55 smith James 15 smith's apprentice It is likely that James 55 is the son of Daniel & Martha b. 1782 and that he married Fanny Burster(Burstow!) in 1807. If so James 15 is probably his grandson, illeg. son of his daughter Fanny, b.1826 as James Waller Penfold (Waller would have been his father's surname). This is just speculation, however. Hi Ian: There are some Penfolds in Horsham but early on and they only seem to be there up until the 1600's. There are a few Pillfolds if anyone is interested, but they too disappear around the same time. As for the Streeters, they appear in the Shipley p.r.'s as I'm sure you have seen. What year are you looking for, approx.? Early on or later in the 1800's. I can check all of my parishes for them if I have a time frame. Louisa

Louisa and all, That Shipley information was excellent. Has anyone else done similar for other parishes and prepared to pass over this list.
