We just wanted to encourage you all to make use of this list in your family searches. A large number of Rootsweb lists have been made inactive due to no messages over a period of time. We want to keep as many lists active as we possibly can and your participation will help toward that goal. If you have a "brick wall" in your family search, send in a message to the list address with as much information as you have and let's see if someone may be able to help fill in those blanks. Best wishes, Jim and Di

I show her as one of 9 children born to John & Esther. The information on Ann comes from a family tree at Ancestry by someone named Arid and the family tree is listed as Aridfamily. I seem to recall that the Arid person is in Australia, but I am not sure about this. I have more info on John & Esther from the British online records. I used to be a descendant of John & Esther but while doing genetic genealogy, I found out that my grandmother (who had married a Peart) was naughty and William Peart is not my bio grandfather! My ex-Pearts immigrated to the US in 1839. I am willing to answer any question, email me at ladyllamapacker at gmail dot com. My DNA has matched me to a researcher in Illinois, I am in Australia. My closest Peart is Ann Peart 1766-1825 married John Heslehurst. We have that Ann was the daughter of Joseph Peart and Sara Vicars. I have not been able to find record of Ann other than in Public Trees and England, Select Births and Christenings 1538-1975 where she is give as of Stanhope and the daughter of Joseph or John. Peart from MO then we've already connected through other means). Anyway, he and his wife and their firstborn, Bill emigrated ultimately to Webb City MO where he was a lead miner (as he was in England, according to the 1861 census). Judging by a question on the 1930 census, they came to the US in 1877 or 78. I have had no success in either Canadian or US immigration records. They had the following children: William Peart (1877-1953) he lived for a bit with my dad in Joplin, MO after he was divorced and his sister, Lucy Peart Holley, died. (1892-1938). Tom had one son that I know of, Jim Peart (b. 1911). Tom Peart (1879-1909) he died in Arizona of TB, I think. I have an obit I can send if you want it. He had one son, Glen L. Peart, whose grandchildren I have been in touch with. They had two children die in childhood: Dora (1881-89) and George (1887-89). They had two daughters with similar names, one of whom my dad lived with for a time. Elizabeth Jane Peart (1885-1912) never married. Please send me an email at [email protected] with some more detailed information on your connection to the family. I am particularly interested in information on his uncle Robert whose children were bequeathed money by Joseph Peart: "Joseph Peart wrote his will in 1798 and made several bequests to Robert's sons and daughters. Joseph Peart's will referred to one son John as Robert's natural mulatto son and later made reference to Robert's natural quadroon slave named John." You mentioned Bristol. What is the connection? I am in Canada, where you located? Anxiously awaiting your email. JP Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
