Well, I'm not Joan, but I descend from a long line of Pennsylvanians and I read the referred to information with avid interest. Basically, it boils down to this: We would like Pennsylvania to index and make available to the general public at least the names and date of death of those that died in Pennsylvania at least 50 years ago. There is nothing in this bill that could possibly breach the privacy of a living person. Sharon Dulcich ------------------------------------- In a message dated 7/8/2008 2:40:17 P.M. As a genealogist, I would love to have better access to historical records. But, as a Pennsylvania resident, I would also like to know that my own records remain as safe as possible to protect against identity theft, and to assure me a reasonable amount of privacy.
