In PA, he married CATHARINE/Katherine GETROST/GATROST (Note: a Pottawattamie Co., IA, birth or marriage record of one of their kids spells her maiden name GAYTROSS, & so was spelled this way in the 1891 county history bio on Emanuel Reichart, but it is not spelled that way). She was born 1816 in Grand Duchy of Baden or Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany, and died 18 Sep 1871 (per county history, though gravestone states 1872) in Pottawattamie Co., IA. They lived in Crescent & Neola, IA, in Pottawattamie, IA, though one or both may have lived in Norwalk at some point. They moved to Pott. Co., IA, after the Civil War, & at least sons Emanuel & George fought in the Civil War, respectively enlisting in Company C 143rd Pennsylvania Volunteers & Company K of the 200th Pennsylvania Regiment. Notes for Katherine/Catharine Getrost/Gatrost: Immigration 1830 (Pott. Co., IA, bio states she was about 15 when family immigrated, & finding prospective listing that includes a match on a known sister, Anna "Mariah/Meriah").
