    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: arnoldks Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.york/14918.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Shirley, Re your Baum's in St. David's Cemetery, York: if no one from this list is available to take your pictures, try RAOGK or FindAGrave. RAOGK is Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness, whose volunteers do just about any sort of genealolgy lookups. They may charge for parking and cost, but not their time. Check out their FAQs at http://www.raogk.org/faq-requesters.htm then after reading the FAQs, you can follow the links to see if there are cemetery photo volunteers in the York area. The other option is findagrave.com. They already have 1880 Baums listed, 243 in PA. They list 2 St. David's cemeteries in York County, 1 in Hanover for which they have 56 interments listed, one of which is a Wesley Baum Runk - is he yours? The other cemetery they list is a St. David's Old Cemetery, just showing York County as location. Once you determine which is the correct cemetery, you post memorials for your ancestors and click the "Request a Photo" button for each one. Then you wait to see if any of their photo volunteers responds with your pictures. I would suggest that you try RAOGK first. But I am also a great believer in FindAGrave as wonderful source for finding where your family is buried. So I stongly encourage you to put memorials for your family on FindAGrave, and then ask your RAOGK volunteer, if you find someone, to also post their photos to FindAGrave for you. And of course, ask them to also send the photos to Kathy Francis to have them uploaded to the Roots Web site. I am a FindaGrave and RAOGK photo volunteer, and I send my photos to the requestor, to FindAGrave and to the appropriate RootsWeb. Best of luck. I hope you get LOTS of photos.
