Beck's father, George Beck, died in 1831. According to his will, he left the following children: Joseph, Elizabeth and four other minor children under the age of 14- Eve, Mary Ann, Leah, and Sarah. (So we know that all these siblings were born before 1831). Joseph S. Beck had the following children with Nancy Studebaker- Sarah b:1839, Mary A. b:1840, and George O. b:1845. (Originally, I was using a transcript of the 1850 census listing this Sarah as 21 years old. This was a typo. When I went back and checked the ORIGINAL 1850 census it lists Sarah as 11 years old, making her birth year 1839 and hence this Sarah is the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Beck). Joseph S. Beck had the following children with Mary Ann Leas- Joseph L. b:1866, John Allen b:1870, and my g-grandmother Emma Jane Beck b:1876. (Joseph S. Beck was 25 years older than his second wife.)
