Hello, I am seeking any help in researching the ZEIGLER, ZIEGLER, ZIGLER, SIGLAR, ETC. surname in Huntington Twp. before 1810. I have found those surnames in census records but need help finding other sources. This seems to be the direction my research is taking me at the moment. From York, my lineage went to Adams County, PA (Latimore Twp area) > possibly Cumberland Co, PA> Perry Co, PA and finally to Dauphin Co, PA. But I want to concentrate on the earliest folks with my surname that I can find. (By the way, I am certain that the family of George Philip Ziegler in Manchester Twp. is "not" my line. I have a Jacob Zeigler on the boundary between Huntington Township - Adams County and S. Middleton Township, Cumberland County, 1796, my survey listing A-884. I have a John Zeigler in Huntington township with a survey in 1787, my survey listing A-853 and another survey in partnership to a John Zeigler in 1812, my survey listing A- 857. All are in my volume 2: PA Original Land Records, Adams County, PA: Berwick, Oxford, Hamilton, Reading, Tyrone, Huntington and Latimore Townships, published 2009. There is also an accompanying 'connected survey map' that graphically shows how all these original surveys fit together.
