While researching my Kauffman's in the York Heritage Trust file, I discovered a home owned by Rachel and Solomon Kauffman. It is on 74 just outside the boro of Dallastown. The house is beige with burgandy trim with a summer house and a barn--all still standing. Is this the family that lived there? I have connected with a Solomon and Wilhelmina Kauffman. He may have married a Mary, too. The 1783 tax rolls indicate he, too, lived in York Township. Can you connect these dots?
