I went to bed early last night, so I didn't find your messages until just now. Glad to see you got it resolved. It's been a long time since I ordered anything, and things were quite different then. I think they just had one simple form you filled out and mailed in. I'm lucky enough to live in NJ, and so I go over to Lancaster and York Cos at least twice a year. They are wonderful places to do research. For what it's worth, everyone at the York Archives is very nice and helpful. If you get stuck, just give them a call. The book I have only goes up to 1850, but they have probate file indexes there that go from 1850 on up. I like that the documents in the probate files are original documents, so you will see the actual handwriting, signatures, how they made their mark, etc. Since I get to go in person, I browse the files of everyone associated with the person - brothers, uncles, sons-in-law, etc. It's amazing what you are able to find.
