Adam Black was born January 31, 1763, married Polly Allegan(?)in 1787 and had children Elizabeth, Henry, Joseph, Adam, Alexander, Robert and Maria. Adam Black's father is said to be Henry Black. The census sheets for 1800 and 1810 show that an Adam Black lived in Cumberland Township in 1800, but was gone in 1810, as was an older Henry Black, probably his father.
