For your John Smith, would you please contact me off list. I probably have some information for you. Your John Smith may have been the son of George Smith and Sarah Brandon Smith. First, your George may have been the son of either John Smith and his wife Margaret {unknown} or the son of William Smith and his wife Elizabeth {unknown}. Both lived in York County, Huntington Township, since the mid-1700's. . I have not yet found how they are related, but: John and Margaret Smith had children: George, John, Elizabeth, Eleanor and Hugh. William and Elizabeth Smith had children: James, George, William and Eleanor. One of the two George's married Sarah Brandon, daughter of Thomas Brandon, who owned property near the Smith families. Thomas Brandon was son of George Brandon. One of the two George Smith's had some property from his father, and some of the Brandon property and lived on either. The other George Smith was a miller. I have also been looking for these families, perhaps we can help each other. My husband is descneded from Hugh Smith, son of John and Margaret Smith.
