I am trying to find a Cron/Crone/Kron/Krone researcher, who can help me with my brick wall. My great great grandfather, Conrad Derfling/ Doerflein married Catherine ?, b. abt 1815. Both were in their 40s in the 1860 census with a son, Jacob, age 2, the only child they had. I can't find a marriage record for Conrad and Catherine. This may be a second marriage for Catherine, as the 1860 census shows a George B. Cron, age 9, living in the household and could have been her son by previous marriage. I find this entry in the 1850 Washington, York Co. census, Krone, David 45 Catherine, 31 Caroline, 11 David, 8 Lovey, 20 The ages are right for my Catherine. That and the fact that I don't find David Krone in 1860, is the only reason I have for selecting this Catherine as a possible candidate for Catherine Derfling/Doerflein.
