I too, am researching a Smith family or two from York County, PA. They are first noted to be in York County, Huntington Township in 1743 according to land records, wills and probates. John Smith married a Margaret {?}, William Smith married an Elizabeth {?}, but I believe these Smith families had arrived from Ireland, Scotland or possibly were Anglo-Irish. If anyone is interested in any of these families please contact me. Family names are George, James, John, William, Hugh, Margaret, Elizabeth, Eleanor.
