    3. I'm looking for information on the Miller family that resided in Washington Twp, York County throughout the 1800s. I have yet to check at York Heritage Trust and thought I would try here to see if anyone can save me the trip. Here is a brief outline of the family to see if anyone can fill me in: John Miller - a blacksmith by trade - the occupation was supposedly passed down gen to gen starting in the 1600s. John farmed the last half his life. Wife: Mary (unknown surname) Children with dates approx: Jacob 1819, John 1820, Rebecca 1825, David Griest Miller (my 2nd great-gf) Apr 27 1826, William 1829, Mary 1832. John Sr died after 1870, wife Mary after 1880. Three boys were blacksmiths, including my gggrandfather David, who was a blacksmith in York Springs, Adams Co for 25 or so years. His son was a blacksmith in York Springs, as well, until about 1950. Thank you in advance for any information that can be provided. I can be reached at zep214@adelphia.net or at jang1@adelphia.net John Hoff
