I have looked at this Smith genealogy many times but I have never been completely satisfied with the conclusion that Johann was the son of Johann George (Sr.) Schmitt. It all seems to fit......but....I just haven't been hit with that "found ya moment" yet...Dull's book seems to be the source of this information but he offers no supportive data for this conclusion.
