She was a sister of Gwen's Cecelia > Susan Emig. I haven't found any evidence that she belongs in my Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle family, so Gemblin may indeed be correct. But it would be interesting to know why some researcher at some point in time thought her maiden name might be Sprenkle. The Apenkle name that Gwen posted could be a typo or a misinterpretation of Sprenkle. There are later Sprenkle-Emig connections, including Adam Hershey Sprenkle who married Louisa Emig in 1867.
