I think we may have communicated in the past, but need to check my files to be certain. Haven't done much new research on Cooksons in years. Still wondering what became of Andrew Cookson, our mutual gggg grandfather. Recently I acquired a photo of Elisha Cookson, son of Prudence Cookson, Andy Cookson's daughter. His father was unknown. He was in the 1850 and 1860 census in household of Shelby Stafford, but David C. Brown, in an affidavit for Elisha's Civil War Pension, says his parents, John W. and Henrietta Stafford Brown raised Elisha until he joined the Union Army in 1861. I do not know why Elisha was not raised by his mother or other Cookson family members. My line is Prudence Cookson who married George W. Query, George W. Query Jr. who married Matilda Rider, Ida Query who married Lincoln Miley, Alma Irene Miley who married Garrett Hobart Curtis, my mother Catherine Curtis Williams.
