Currently, I have a good biography of Alexander Ewing's son Rev. James Wesley Ewing(born 1786) who married 3 times and had 15 children. 11 of the children were with his second wife Justina Grove. Lydia Godfrey's sister Sarah Godfrey married Justina Grove's brother John Grove, Jr. Thus I am guessing that John Ewing and Rev. James Wesley Ewing may be siblings. John Ewing and wife Lydia are listed in the 1850 census in Fawn, York County, Pennsylvania as age 49, but I have found Lydia's birth record in Saddler's Church for Dec 1795 and suspect John Ewing is about the same age.
