I seem to recall being told something like this also -- that the oldest tombstones were moved elsewhere but I'm not sure the bodies were--only the tombstones. If I remember correctly the bodies are now under a parking lot or a building where they were originally buried. I seem to recall that the courthouse needed to expand its property and bought the space from the church (I don't recall hearing anything about the Sunday School) and that this was the reason behind the move--but I could be wrong.
