Weigle hweigle1@cox.net In 1956 The Federal Government paid someone to go around all the counties of PA and list the tombstones found there. Some of these records remain in private hands, some ended up in the local library. For York County they were given to the County Library who, when they needed the space more, donated the work to the local Historical Society. They will not publish the info, someone a few years ago told me they made over 200,000. in one year from writeins and they need the money to keep the HS going. They charge $50. dollars per request plus .20 cents per page (this info might be outdated). They might have the info on Johann Martin Weigel that you are looking for. Renee L. Waring Renee L. 3. Thanks. I've been to the York Historical Trust a number of times, but I have never been able to find any solid documentation on the whereabouts of his tombstone. Harold A.
