Some of these records remain in private hands, some ended up in the local library. For York County they were given to the County Library who, when they needed the space more, donated the work to the local Historical Society. They will not publish the info, someone a few years ago told me they made over 200,000. in one year from writeins and they need the money to keep the HS going.
