Author: NIckes7708 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pennsylvania.counties.york/14839.2.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Many, many thanks for your information, Iris. I do have a question about two of the birth dates. Perhaps it is a typo. John Lawrence Riley, born 2/5/1862; and Henry William REILLY, born 9/20/1862. These dates are too close together. Perhaps one was born in 1863??? Do you have anything on John Reiley's father, Washington? I believe I found him in the 1870 census where he is aged 56 and living with his son, John and wife, Polly. Washington is listed in the census as 'insane' and his right to vote is denied. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Karen, I have two Jacob Givens in my family database. First Jacob Givens; DOB 4 Dec1803 - DOD 18 Feb 1869 in York County. His wife was Anna Rebecca Jack, DOB18 Sept 1807 - DOD 25 July 1882. Their photos can be seen in an article written by Lloyd Zeager about his own family history that appeared in the January 1984 issue of "Pennsylvania Mennonite Heritage". One of Jacob's daughters, Sarah Ann Givens DOB 10 Feb 1849 - DOD 7 Oct 1905, married Jerome B. Swartz Sr. DOB 1 Jan 1846 - DOD 16 Dec 1914. She was my great grandmother. 2nd Jacob Givens was his grandson, DOB 3 Nov 1856 - DOD 7 Feb 1898 in York County. Wife was Amanda Meisenhelder. If either of these Jacobs "belong" to you, we can share additional information.
